You’re never too old to learn the piano! In fact it’s great for your joints and good exercise for the brain – who needs sudoku when you can learn the piano!? We also teach children aged 6 and above, making a voucher a unique and imaginative present.

All our teachers are highly experienced musicians with relevant teaching qualifications. We have made sure their premises and equipment are suitable and they have all passed appropriate CRB checks.

The 3 lesson voucher has been designed as a taster package. By the end of the 3 lessons you will have started reading music and playing very simple tunes. If you wish to continue with your teacher you can arrange that directly with them.

Yes of course. If you don't require the keyboard hire you get extra lessons instead. See voucher packages page for more info.

Yes. We ask for the recipient's full name, but on the voucher we can add whatever name you like. We can also add who it's from. Alternatively, we can leave the voucher blank for you to complete yourself.

Learn to play is based in Bristol, so your chosen teacher will live within the Bristol area. We will try to find someone as close as possible to your voucher recipients home.

If for any reason your lessons aren't going as well as you'd hoped we can discuss a change of teacher. Choosing the right teacher is a very personal thing and we will be happy to try find you another teacher in the area to continue your lessons.

The costs involved in hiring and transporting a piano are high, so to keep our prices down you will get a touch sensitive Yamaha digital keyboard. Your lessons will take place at a teachers home on a real piano, so the keyboard is just for you to have at home to practice on.

If at the end of your voucher period you want to keep the keyboard you can purchase it directly from Mickleburgh Ltd in Bristol for a discount price. Please contact us for more details.

Your lessons are purely about playing the piano, but the keyboard does come with an instruction manual and pre-recorded tunes for you to play around with if you like!!
